Flatworms common and deadly

Tapeworms are the most prevalent group of worms among pets. Contracting worms may lead to various diseases such as: infections, diarrhea, bloating and stomach ache and growth problems. In cases when contraction is more severe – signs worsen and may even cause intestinal obstruction and death.

This worm is usually transmitted when a dog or cat lick or scratch themselves and inadvertently swallow a flea.
Fleas carry worm eggs that hatch over time and adult worms are born that attach themselves to the small intestine mucus. The worms lay eggs that are expelled with the cat or dog? feces. The flea larva feeds on the worm eggs and becomes infectious for the cat or dog?.
The risk of worms can be reduced by exterminating fleas, maintaining hygiene and paying careful attention to pets.
